Obsession: Pride & Prejudice

If you know me, then this post will come as no surprise. I am (and always will be) obsessed with Pride & Prejudice. It's my go-to movie for all occasions, and I'm not ashamed to admit I've seen this film over 20 times. Probably closer to over 30, but who's counting? The book: fantastic. Jane Austen = brilliant. I've also read Darcy's Story, which I highly reccomend if you love this book/movie and these characters. I love Keira Knighley in this role. She shines in all the period-piece roles she takes on. Along the same lines as my P&P obsession, I' also loving Downton Abbey. It's far too trendy to blog about, so I won't bore you with proclaiming my love for it. But, if you like period-piece films and television, you should check it out.

Childhood Remixed & Revisted

I have always been a lover of animated films. Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, etc. So when a friend shared Pogo with me, I about lost my mind. I love this. I can't stop listening to this. Happy Hunger Games!

It's been a while since I was really excited about a movie release, especially a movie release based on a book series. So, I am really pumped for this weekend's release of the first installment in the Hunger Games triology. Jennifer Lawrence is the perfect Katniss, and I am looking forward to watcher her and the others bring life to such an inrecible book series!

My adorable nephew turns one today. I am such a proud Auntie.

    Teddy is such a sweet, loving, smart and charming little boy. He is the perfect combination of his father and mother, and named after two wonderful men in our family: Teddy's paternal great grandfather, Theodore Eckhoff, and Teddy's maternal grandfather, Michael Kane. We all love you so much, and are so thankful for you in our lives. And last, but certainly not least, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Spring is upon us, we're officialy into Daylight Savings time, and in Virginia, with that comes temps of 70+ degrees. Skirts, short sleeves and open toed shoes are making their way out of storage and back into my closet. While many of my other friends are buying stock in sunless tanning lotions and mystic packages at the tanning salon, I'm doing my best to 'embrace the pale.' I've always felt more confident with a tan, but after doing some searching - if these lovely ladies can rock the pale and still look flawless, I think I can do the same.

The holiday some people love to hate is only a few weeks away, and my RSS feed has been flooded with Valentine's day crafts and card ideas.
